P.S. Thanks for the help to identify my mystery tree. Have come to the conclusion that it is a member of the Bauhinia genus, named after the Bauhin botanical brothers. There over 200 types, growing around Asia, but have been introduced to warmer states in this country, getting called Chinese or Hong Kong Orchid trees.
